Rod Armour is a trading name of Techtaalik Pty Ltd (ABN 81 611 232 145) ("Rod Armour", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information when you visit www.rodarmour.com.au, buy from us or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number (if you give it) and the products you buy.
  • Payment details: payments are processed by our payment providers. We do not see or store your full card number.
  • Messages: what you send us by email or through our contact form, and our replies.
  • Marketing preferences: if you sign up for emails or SMS, your email address or mobile number and your preferences.
  • Reviews: if you leave a product review, your name, review, rating and any photos you upload.
  • Browsing information: your device, browser, IP address, approximate location, the pages you view and how you use our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To process, pack, ship and track your order, and to handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
  • To answer your questions and provide customer service.
  • To send you emails or SMS about offers and new products, if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To show product recommendations and to understand and improve our website.
  • To measure and show our advertising, including on Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft (Bing).
  • To prevent fraud and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our store, and only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Store platform and payments: Shopify (including Shopify Payments and Shop Pay), PayPal, Afterpay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Delivery: Australia Post, Aramex, Japan Post, Canada Post and other carriers that deliver your order.
  • Email, SMS and reviews: Klaviyo (email and SMS) and Yotpo (product reviews).
  • Website features: Rebuy (cart and product recommendations) and our country and currency tools.
  • Analytics and advertising: Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta, and Microsoft (Clarity and Bing Ads).
  • Our professional advisers, and government or law enforcement bodies where the law requires or allows it.

Overseas disclosure

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada, the European Union and other countries where they or their sub-processors operate. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how our site is used and measure our advertising. You can manage your choices through our cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

SMS messages

If you opt in to SMS, we will send you marketing and order-related text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies and your normal message and data rates apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing sales@rodarmour.com.au. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
