The Team
Curtis and Christian Sciacca are anglers and designers focused on building practical protection that helps you protect your gear and spend more time fishing. Since 2016, we have sketched, prototyped, and field-tested every product so it earns a place in our range. Our ethos is simple: the better you protect your gear, the longer it lasts.
Founder’s note
I started Rod Armour after years working in a fishing retail shop while studying at university. We bootstrapped from a small trade show in Brisbane, Australia, listened to anglers on the road, and kept improving and adding to our range. We sold online and at shows around Australia. As the brand grew, anglers from New Zealand, Canada and beyond started ordering too. I have fished all my life, from Australian surf and estuaries to ice fishing in Canada, and that mix of places continues to shape what we build.
How we work
- Design led: hundreds of prototypes, durability testing, drop tests, and on-water trials before launch
- Patents and trademarks: protected designs with additional patents pending where noted
- Built for convenience: products that make preparation faster and help protect reels, rods, and lures in transport and storage
- Data and detail: we use customer feedback, returns data, and on-water testing to refine every run
Customer promise
- Every piece of feedback is read by the founder and fed into the product roadmap
- Friendly support during business hours, replies within 24 business hours on average, usually much sooner
- Arrival Guarantee on deliveries and 90-day prepaid returns
Where we sell
Rod Armour is proudly Brisbane based and built for Australian anglers. We ship across Australia, and to New Zealand, Canada and the rest of the world. Anglers in the USA can shop at our own Rod Armour USA store, rodarmour.com.
